The Remember Zoë  Appeal was launched on 12 September 2007, the day Zoë
King lost her three year battle with cancer.
Zoë was an amazing young woman on the brink of a bright and wonderful future. She was a talented musician, artist and writer and we found out last year she was also a pretty good model too!

We  decided that it was an appropriate way to remember Zoë by continuing to fundraise in her name to help teenagers treated in Edinburgh fight cancer.

We achieved our goal of raising enough money for a unit at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh.  Work will commence in the spring 2009 and be open in july 2009.

Our next goal is to raise £500,000 for a unit for older teenagers and young adults at the Western General Hospital.

Our thanks go to the amazing Alan Biggar for raising such a significant amount of money for us, to all who helped us during 2008, to all who donated, and most especially to Zoë's family for their tremendous support.

and finally I am saving the last words for Zoë -

Your star shines brightly Zoë - Thank you

Alan Biggar’s ‘Drive for Zoë’ campaign ended at a Teenage Cancer Trust dinner in Edinburgh on Friday 5th December.

When Alan completed the Drive on 30th June his total was standing at £130,000. He said, ‘ Once the Drive was over it would have been easy just to say that was that. However I was convinced there was more work to be done. Although the last 5 months have been much slower, I am delighted with my final total of £163,679.’

Finally Alan would like to thank everybody who supported his Drive for Zoë.
